Greg Brown

Greg Brown’s career with Learfield spans 33 years, and during that time he has held various sales and leadership positions with the company.  Further, he has been instrumental in building Learfield’s reputation as a trusted partner for collegiate athletic programs. With Brown at the helm, Learfield’s collegiate multi-media rights portfolio grew from representing just six partner universities to more than 120 schools, conferences and associations in a 10-year timeframe.

In 2009, Brown was promoted to his current role of President and Chief Executive Officer and adopted a strategic plan to continue to expand the company’s core multimedia business and extend the reach of Learfield into new business areas. Brown has led the charge to make acquisitions in licensing, digital platforms, scoreboard and display systems, ticket sales and social media, expanding Learfield’s overall reach to roughly 1,200 athletic programs nationwide. Learfield created over 10,000 collegiate radio broadcasts this past year, which were carried on over 1,500 radio stations.  In total, almost 29,000 hours of college sports audio content is created annually by Learfield.

In 2012, a leading sports business publication named him one of the most influential executives in college football, and in 2015, Learfield was honored as the Best in Property Consulting, Sales and Client Services by the Sports Business Journal. Today Brown leads a company of more than 900 employees.
