DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and its rights partner, Learfield’s ECAC Sports Properties, introduce Physiclo today as its newest official partner.

Physiclo – a functional fitness apparel line providing extra resistance to any workout – is designed by a team of NYU medical students and Olympic Silver Medalist Fencer, Keeth Smart. As an “Official Partner of the ECAC”, Physiclo will receive access to ECAC member institutions and on-site presence at ECAC Championship Events including the upcoming Outdoor ECAC/IC4A Track and Field Championships in May. The company also will receive digital visibility on ECACsports.com.

“Physiclo is excited to partner with the ECAC, an organization with a rich athletic history,” said COO and Co-Founder Smart. “We look forward to working with the coaches of ECAC schools to improve their athlete’s performance and help them reach new heights.”

Benefits of Physiclo include improving an athlete’s strength and speed and providing less strain on joints compared to weights and weighted vests. Its patented-resistance technology features multiple resistance panels and bands integrated throughout the garment in order to burn more calories, increase muscle activation, stimulate resistance and increase heart rate.

“Physiclo is a fantastic addition to our partner line-up and we are looking forward to working with them,” said ECAC President/CEO Dan Coonan. “They provide a unique product line to the athletic and fitness world and we think they are a great fit to support the conference championships.”

ABOUT PHYSICLO
Whether you’re training as an athlete or working out to stay in shape, achieving great fitness results isn’t easy. As we get stronger and fitter, we need to find new ways to challenge our bodies, otherwise we end up stuck in the same routine and watching our results plateau. At least, that’s what happened to us. As former athletes, busy with school or a 9 to 5 job, we just couldn’t find time to increase our morning runs or extend our evening gym sessions, so we found ourselves stuck working out every day but without results to show for it. The solution we invented was Physiclo… a new kind of functional fitness wear that allows you to add extra resistance to any workout, designed by a team of NYU medical students and Olympic Silver Medalist Fencer, Keeth Smart.
