PLANO, Texas – Football game day at Stanford University this Saturday will have an added component for fans as Eckrich will make its third of 14 stops on the brand’s new Road to the National Championship $1 Million Challenge. The Cardinal join the Clemson Tigers, Miami Hurricanes and Alabama Crimson Tide as Learfield university partners playing host site to the mobile experiential tour.

As rights holder to the respective athletics departments, Learfield and its on-campus personnel are working with Signature Sports Group on all aspects of the pre-game mobile activation and in-game competition providing a sweepstakes winner the opportunity to throw for $1 million. The competition extends to the 2017 National Championship Game in Tampa, Fla. as well.

The mobile tour kicked off on Saturday, September 3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the 2016 Advocare Classic featuring University of Southern California and University of Alabama. In addition to this Saturday’s stop in Stanford, the tour visits Clemson on October 1 when the Tigers host the Louisville Cardinals; Miami on October 15 with North Carolina visiting, and Tuscaloosa on October 22 with the Texas A&M Aggies in town. Fans will be able to sample Eckrich naturally hardwood smoked sausage at the mobile tour before the games kick off, and Signature Sports Group is overseeing not only the comprehensive regional promotions and retail tie-ins, but also assisting with a military-themed philanthropy program at all 14 tour stop locations.
