MADISON, Wis. – University of Wisconsin Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Learfield’s Badger Sports Properties, are pleased to announce that September 17 will mark the 4th annual “Celebrate Agriculture” game as the Badgers play host to the Georgia State Panthers at Camp Randall Stadium.
In teaming with the state’s agriculture industry, planning for the special event will unveil numerous game day festivities that pay tribute to the heritage and importance of Wisconsin agriculture and its deep connections to the University of Wisconsin. Fans will get a look inside the state’s $88 billion industry, which employs more than 400,000 men and women. There are nearly 70,000 farms throughout Wisconsin averaging 209 acres in size.
“Wisconsin agriculture has a huge impact on our state and our nation – from Wisconsin license plates to our professional sports teams, you see evidence of our proud agricultural traditions everywhere in this state,” says Kate VandenBosch, Dean of the UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. “Once again, we are pleased to join with Wisconsin Athletics to celebrate this important industry and the longstanding partnership between the university and agricultural producers.”
This year’s “Celebrate Agriculture” sponsors are Dairyland Seed, Cleary Building Corporation, DeLaval, Culver’s, Accelerated Genetics and Case IH.
Kickoff time has been set for 11 a.m. CST, and the game will be televised on BTN. Tickets for the game are available for purchase online at uwbadgers.com or by calling the athletics ticket office at (608) 262-1440.

Fruit and vegetable processing and dairy product manufacturing are the top two state-wide economic drivers according to a study commissioned by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
