CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State University Athletics and its exclusive multimedia rights holder, Learfield’s St. Cloud State Sports Properties, announced today that a five-year agreement has been reached with Townsquare Media of St. Cloud and its stations REV 96.7 FM, AM 1240 WJON and The FAN 1390 AM.Print

REV 96.7 FM, which provides regional coverage throughout St. Cloud and all of Central Minnesota, will air all hockey broadcasts live for Huskies fans. Football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, coaches’ shows and a daily show will air on AM 1240 WJON and/or The FAN 1390 AM.

“We’re excited about creating a new partnership with Townsquare Media of St. Cloud,” said St. Cloud State University Athletics Director Heather Weems. “Townsquare’s family of radio stations will be a great fit for Huskies fans and we’re thrilled to have St. Cloud State hockey on a regional FM signal in the market.”

Huskies hockey broadcasts will be heard along I-94, from Minneapolis to Alexandria and all of Central Minnesota.

“We’re proud that the Rev 96.7, The Rock Revolution, will serve as the new radio home for Huskies hockey in St. Cloud,” said Townsquare Media Market President David Engberg. “Being the new radio flagship for the Huskies is a big honor and we’re going to work hard to bring the best radio coverage of St. Cloud State athletics to Central Minnesota.”

Learfield and St. Cloud State University are currently working on play by play coverage teams and will be announcing those details at a later date.
