ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Opening night of the University of New Mexico men’s and women’s basketball seasons will be televised on ROOTS SPORTS Friday, Nov. 13.

The broadcast will begin from the WisePies Arena aka The Pit with the men’s basketball season opener against Texas Southern at 5:30 p.m. MT. The women’s basketball team’s 2015-16 debut against Houston Baptist will take place 30 minutes after the conclusion of the men’s game. In between games, ROOT SPORTS will air UNM-related programming brought to you by LoboTV.

The Lobo games on Nov. 13 will air exclusively on ROOT SPORTS in most areas of New Mexico, as well as Colorado, Eastern Wyoming, and portions of South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas. The game may also be available in additional markets, so please check your local listings.

The partnership between Lobo Sports and ROOT SPORTS was garnered by Learfield Sports’ Lobo Sports Properties, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Lobo Athletics.

For fans coming out to WisePies Arena to support the Lobos, the university will not be clearing out The Pit in between games. Fans attending the men’s game will be able to stay for the women’s game afterwards, but will need to move if occupying a season ticket holder’s seat. Fans coming for the women’s basketball game will be allowed to enter the men’s game at 7 p.m.

UNM will rope off 150 parking spots in the Stadium West lot for women’s basketball parking pass holders. UNM will also be providing a shuttle service from the Stadium East lot for anyone else wanting to attend the women’s game, if they cannot find a spot in their respective lot.
