PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence Athletics named leading ticket marketplace Vivid Seats as its Official Ticket Marketplace. The deal took effect beginning with the 2015-16 school year. In conjunction with the partnership, the Vivid Seats marketplace will be available throughout the year to Friar fans in need of premium tickets to Providence hockey and men’s basketball games and surrounding attractions throughout the Northeast.

The partnership starts at a perfect time as the defending national championship men’s ice hockey team begins its quest to repeat as champions this week when it faces Miami (OH) on the road in a two-game series. The following week the Friars have their home opener against Holy Cross on October 16 in what will be a special evening celebrating the 2014 -15 national championship team. Along with a national champion hockey program, Head Coach Ed Cooley has the men’s basketball team poised for another strong season after back-to-back 20+ win campaigns.
