PLANO, Texas — University of Akron Director of Athletics Tom Wistrcill will be returning to Learfield Sports as senior vice president for Learfield Sports’ University Partnership Group as announced today by Learfield President/CEO Greg Brown.

Tom WistrcillWistrcill had served as general manager of Learfield’s Badger Sports Properties at the University of Wisconsin from 2002-2006. Following that, he served three years as senior associate athletic director at the University of Minnesota before joining the University of Akron Athletics program as Director of Athletics in 2009.

​Wistrcill’s primary role, based in Learfield’s Plano headquarters, will be to work with the company’s collegiate partners and expand the scope of services Learfield provides those athletic programs. The University Partnership Group, headed by Chief Business Development Officer Bob Agramonte, represents Learfield and its owned and operated companies – including SIDEARM Sports, ANC, IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions and Learfield Licensing Partners – in crafting broad relationships between these external business lines and Learfield’s portfolio of collegiate properties.
