PLANO, Texas – Collegiate marketer Learfield Sports recently named seasoned senior sales executive Lori Weed to the company’s National Sales division, which pairs corporate America with nearly 100 collegiate properties across the country.

Weed joins Learfield Sports’ Plano headquarters from Texas Motor Speedway to serve as senior director of business development primarily to oversee national sales activity for the company’s collegiate partners located in the Southwest region. Weed most recently served as senior account executive for Texas Motor Speedway, with an eight-year stint highlighted by securing significant visibility for Duck Commander, a brand new to the sport that signed a three-year NASCAR Sprint Cup Race entitlement. While at TMS, Weed also managed and extended other partnerships with such brands as Coca-Cola, WinStar World Casino & Resort, MillerCoors and Sunoco.

Her prior professional experience also includes holding sales roles for retail brands Lagos, Tommy Bahama and Quiksilver. Since 2011, Weed has been a board member for the Dallas All Sports Association.
