DALLAS – SMU Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Learfield Sports’ Mustang Sports Properties, announced today a partnership with Uber Technologies, Inc. for the 2014-15 football season.

Uber, the fast-growing San Francisco-based technology company connecting riders with drivers through the ease of a mobile app, will host a designated pick-up station for all six SMU home football games. Located in the parking lot of Highland Park United Methodist Church near Gerald J. Ford Stadium, Uber’s pick-up station will be a designated location for riders and drivers to connect after each game, providing additional transportation choices to SMU fans.

Fans can take advantage of the SMU-Uber relationship on Saturday, Sept. 20 when the Mustangs play host to the Texas A&M Aggies in their home opener. Additional details about the Uber pick-up location can be found on SMU Athletics’ social media platforms. Uber will also have a presence on the Boulevard for the Sept. 20, Sept. 27 and November 15 football games.

“Uber is a cutting-edge technology that solves the consumer need of transportation choice, and we were especially interested in incorporating their innovative brand and affordable services into our SMU home football game experience,” said SMU Athletics Senior Associate A.D./Public Relations & Marketing Brad Sutton. “With a designated Uber pick-up station positioned in such close proximity to the stadium, it made a lot of sense for our fans, and we’re thrilled to offer this for all six home games.”
