LOUISVILLE, Ky. – As the University of Louisville ushers in the 2014-15 athletic season, locally based MD2U commits to a multi-year partnership with the Cardinals as announced by U of L Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Louisville Sports Properties.

The Louisville-based leader in home-based primary care looks to the hometown Cardinals for its first foray into collegiate sports sponsorship. Beginning with football, MD2U will receive significant visibility on the statewide radio network, Louisville Sports Network; digital content on U of L’s official athletic website, www.gocards.com; as well as hospitality benefits and opportunities for fan engagement to heighten brand awareness. Additionally, MD2U will have permanent signage inside KFC Yum! Center for men’s and women’s basketball and at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium for football.

“This is a terrific opportunity for our company, and we couldn’t be more pleased than to align with a highly respected brand like U of L,” said MD2U President and CEO Dr. Michael Benfield. “Since our company’s inception 10 years ago, we’ve always placed great emphasis in supporting the Louisville community and striving to be the best at what we do. As we celebrate a milestone year for our company we’re excited to now team with the University of Louisville to expand our community involvement and presence.”

MD2U, providing ongoing quality care for home-bound or home-limited patients, is an ideal alternative for patients who need or prefer to receive quality healthcare in the comfort of their own homes. The company’s complete care services range from routine checkups and lab work to x-rays, EKGs and ultrasounds. MD2U’s unique program helps patients live independently longer, with fewer emergency room visits and fewer hospitalizations, helping to delay the need for skilled nursing home care. The company serves patients in Louisville metro, Southern Indiana and most of Kentucky.

“Marking a first-of-its-kind for both parties, we’re excited to get this partnership underway with our passionate college football fan base,” said Louisville Sports Properties General Manager John Penny. “There are excellent synergies and opportunities that exist for MD2U to leverage their own brand with the Cards, and we’re pleased to help them build that affinity platform.”
