LARAMIE, Wyo. – University of Wyoming Intercollegiate Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, University of Wyoming Sports Properties, announced today a three-year contract extension with UniWyo Federal Credit Union concurrent with the 2014-15 athletic season.

The prominent component of the new partnership calls for the Laramie-based financial institution to stamp its name on the Wyoming Cowboys scoreboard at War Memorial Stadium with a 5’ x 37’ sign, enhancing its visibility during football season. Additionally, UniWyo Federal Credit Union will continue to receive substantial partnership benefits throughout each athletic season in the extended term – ultimately marking a more than 10-year association between the two parties. UW is the sole collegiate affiliation for UniWyo Federal Credit Union.

“I want to thank UniWyo Federal Credit Union for its continued support of the University of Wyoming and Wyoming Athletics,” said UW Director of Athletics Tom Burman. “I am thrilled that UniWyo has agreed to extend and strengthen its partnership with Wyoming Athletics.”

In addition to its new branding presence at the football stadium, UniWyo Federal Credit Union leverages its ongoing partnership with continued naming rights exclusivity of the UniWyo Sports Complex, which is home to Cowgirl Volleyball and Cowboy Wrestling.

“We are proud and excited to strengthen our relationship with Wyoming Athletics and the University. Our relationship with UW extends back to 1953 when UniWyo was founded by nine University employees,” said UniWyo Federal Credit Union President Larry Knopp. “We look forward to the new season and are thrilled to see what Wyoming Football has in store.”

“UniWyo Federal Credit Union has been a remarkable partner for the Wyoming Cowboys for many years, and we’re excited to bring it back for an extended term and provide a valuable scoreboard opportunity,” said Brad Poe, general manager for University of Wyoming Sports Properties, a property of collegiate marketer Learfield Sports. “We’re fortunate to work with many businesses here in Laramie, the state of Wyoming and surrounding areas that take great pride in their association with UW.”
