FOX Sports Southwest kicks off its Spring Football coverage on Saturday, April 13 with a live telecast of Oklahoma’s Spring Game. Four hours of coverage begins with OU Sooner Sports Gameday pregame show at noon CT prior to the 2:00 p.m. CT kickoff.
It’s the first of two Spring Games this year scheduled on FOX Sports Southwest. Texas Tech’s Spring Game on Saturday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m. CT also will be televised live.
Both games will be shown on FOX Sports Southwest and FOX Sports Oklahoma with some markets receiving the telecasts on FOX Sports Plus. (Check schedule below for distribution). The games also will air nationally on FOX College Sports.
Sooner Sports TV’s Jessica Coody will host the two-hour SOONER SPORTS GAMEDAY PREGAME show alongside special guests Chuck Long, J.D. Runnels and Tony Casillas. Chad McKee and Joel Klatt will call the Spring Game and will be joined by Long, Runnels and Casillas as analysts.
Calling the Texas Tech Spring Game will be David Thetford (play-by-play) and Cody Hodges (analyst).
The live games highlight FOX Sports Southwest’s Spring Football coverage that will feature the network’s annual Spring Football series. Back for its 12th season, the series consists of 30-minute shows recapping spring drills and previewing the 2013 season for Big 12 and SEC schools in the Southwest region.
Each show will feature spring game highlights, in-depth analysis by the coaching staff, feature stories on players who are expected to make an impact this season and commentary by FOX Sports Southwest college football analyst Gary Reasons and Scout.com correspondents.
The series begins in May and will run throughout the spring and summer leading to the start of football practice. (See schedule below for list of air dates in May. Additional airings will be announced later).
