San Jose State University Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Spartan Sports Properties, announced today that Walker Team Real Estate is the newest University athletics partner beginning this football season.
Jackie Walker, of Walker Team Real Estate, already boasts a unique affiliation with Spartan Athletics. For 17 years, she served as women’s gymnastics head coach. Her daughter and business partner, Kelly, graduated from SJSU in 2003 and was a member of the cross country team.
Walker Team Real Estate’s brand-new partnership will garner visibility for the agency through numerous Spartan tie-ins, including hospitality, opportunities to interact with the coaching staff, Simpkins Stadium Center Gold Room access, marketing, and access to Spartan Sports Properties’ Day at the Game corporate partner event.

Walker and her family moved to California in 1977, when she was hired to initiate a women’s gymnastics program at Stanford University. Over the past 25 years, the Walkers have moved numerous times-buying and selling homes in Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Menlo Park and San Jose. These moves spurred an interest in real estate for Jackie. Her husband, Jerry, is a former San Jose State sports information director and public relations director for the San Francisco 49ers (1981-1993). He currently serves as president for Signature FUN-Raising, a company that supplies sports and entertainment memorabilia for charity events in the Bay Area and throughout the country.
