New, Specially Designed Care Programs to be Developed for Student-Athletes

MISSOULA, Mont. (Aug. 13, 2012) – University of Montana Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Grizzly Sports Properties, announced today an expanded, multi-year partnership with Providence St. Patrick Hospital to become the “Official Healthcare Provider” of Grizzly Athletics.

As part of the agreement effective this 2012-13 athletic season, St. Pat’s will receive numerous partnership benefits, including exposure in various ways including stadium signs, web and social media outlets, University-driven cancer awareness campaigns and the statewide radio network.

Additionally, St. Pat’s will serve as the official game sponsor for “Pink” games promoting cancer awareness, and lead several prevention healthcare programs for student-athletes. St. Patrick Hospital and Grizzly Athletics are developing targeted programming to enhance the physical well-being of the University’s student-athletes and better prepare them for training and competition.

Grizzly Sports Properties is a property of Learfield Sports, which manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for more than 50 collegiate institutions, conferences and associations. It also titles the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup, in conjunction with award co-founders NACDA and USA Today.
