First Tennessee Perks Program offers unique benefits to UofM fans and bank customers

Memphis, TN (Aug. 24, 2010) – Learfield Sports’ Tiger Sports Properties and the University of Memphis Department of Athletics announced today that First Tennessee Bank will continue as the “Official Bank of the Memphis Tigers” following the renewal of a three-year agreement with Tiger Sports Properties. First Tennessee will remain the exclusive sponsor for retail banking services for the Memphis Tigers.

“First Tennessee Bank has been a strong supporter of Tiger athletics for many years and I am very pleased that the association will continue into the future,” said University of Memphis Athletic Director R.C. Johnson. “Tiger Sports Properties and the Memphis athletic department would not be able to accomplish all the things we do each year if not for the tremendous backing we receive from sponsors such as First Tennessee Bank.”

The agreement grants Memphis-based First Tennessee advertising through various channels and use of the UofM official logo. In addition, First Tennessee will expand its First Tennessee Perks Program to Tiger fans and First Tennessee customers by offering seat upgrade opportunities at all Tiger football and men’s basketball games and merchandise discounts at select Tiger retailers.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with the University of Memphis and help create an exceptional fan experience,” said Mike Edwards, market president, First Tennessee. “We are proud of our association with the university’s outstanding students, faculty, staff, talented athletes, and its dynamic fans.”
