Radio rights for the Tiger Network have been held by Cumulus Broadcasting.  “We appreciate the opportunity to create a new partnership with Missouri-based Zimmer Radio Group and expect outstanding coverage and programming to follow.  At the same time we’re extremely grateful to KFRU and Cumulus Broadcasting for their commitment and dedication to bringing Tiger game action over the airwaves to fans for so many years,” said Mike Alden, Director of Athletics at Missouri.

“We’re happy that Zimmer Radio Group will serve as our new radio home for the Tiger Network in Columbia, Jefferson City, Fulton and all over Central Missouri,” said Jeff Shoultz, General Manager for Mizzou Sports Properties.  “Not only are we pleased to put the Tiger broadcasts on KCMQ, a 100,000-watt FM station, but we now bring FM coverage for Mizzou baseball and women’s basketball into the mix for fans all across Central Missouri.”

According to Zimmer Radio Group owner John Zimmer, this marks a new chapter in the company’s Mizzou history books.  “There’s no question we’re excited to be carrying the Tiger Network, and we’re confident we will continue to build on the legacy that’s been established.  We were drawn to this opportunity because of the tremendous academic and athletic reputation that Mizzou Athletics possesses.”
